Per the Harris County Republican Party Chair, Cindy Seigel
Among the 79 early voting polls and over 540 Election Day polls in Harris County, all have Republican judges and clerks overseeing the Republican primary portion. Although legislative changes last spring necessitated a joint primary, the Republican Party has its own Republican election judges and clerks working at each poll. The Republican judge and clerks at any polling location can assist you if you have any questions or problems.
The County Clerk’s office is responsible for providing the equipment and other services to both parties for each of our primaries. Ultimately, this is the Republican Party’s primary, and we have oversight over every step of the process via our Election Integrity team, our Republican election judges and clerks, and our legal team.
Lastly, do not forget that the convention process to appoint delegates to both the state and national conventions starts on Saturday, March 9, with your precinct convention. Everyone who votes in the Republican primary is entitled to attend the Republican precinct convention.
